About the Role
Are you a high-energy, proactive educator who loves the “magic” of the toddler years? At My World Mandarin Nature School, we believe that quality is the foundation of everything. We are looking for a engaging Assistant Teacher to join our brand-new, licensed center in Seattle.
You will work directly with our Lead Toddler Teacher to support a small, intimate group of 9 toddlers (ages 12–29 months). With a 1:4.5 staff-to-child ratio, you actually have the time to engage deeply with every child, facilitate nature-based play, and maintain a calm, premium environment.

- Active Engagement: Be “on the floor” and fully present. You aren’t just supervising; you are playing, singing, and exploring nature with our toddlers.

We are seeking an experienced Mandarin-speaking Lead Teacher to bring our beautifully designed nature-based curriculum to life.
This role is ideal for someone who loves teaching, but does not want to build curriculum from scratch.
What You’ll Do
- Follow our 12-month curriculum roadmap (themes, goals, and activities provided)
- Lead daily flow: circle time, outdoor exploration, projects, meals, and rest
- Maintain 100% Mandarin immersion during instructional time
- Guide children through emotions, conflict, and social growth
- Spend significant time outdoors in all seasons
Who You Are
- Confident managing a classroom of 3–5 year-olds
- Comfortable with structure, routines, and written curriculum
- Warm, grounded, and calm under pressure
- Familiar with Montessori, Waldorf, or nature-based education
Requirements
- WA State DCYF Lead Teacher qualified (ECE Initial Cert or higher)

Job Summary
My World Mandarin Nature School is seeking passionate, professional, and dedicated individuals to join our team as preschool Chinese(Mandarin) Language assistant Teachers for Mercer Island/South Seattle locations.

- Facilitate and support students in learning Chinese in both outdoor and indoor environments.
- Assist lead teachers in executing educational and organizational tasks.
- Fully understand and integrate the school’s educational philosophy into daily teaching.

Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in Mandarin (standard pronunciation) and English.
- Attributes: Responsible, caring, patient, and professional.
- Alignment: Must align with our school’s educational philosophy and values.
- Experience: Prior knowledge of or experience with Waldorf education is highly preferred.
