Mandarin Nature Preschool Lead Teacher (Curriculum Provided + Daily Doc time)

• Paid Doc Time: You get 1 hour of paid office time daily (1:30–2:30 PM) to handle observations and prep materials. You will never have to upload photos at home.

My World Education is a nature-based Mandarin immersion program opening a beautiful new child care center in Maple Leaf, Seattle. We believe children learn best when they are active, outside, and immersed in language.

We have already developed a proprietary, year-round curriculum roadmap that integrates nature exploration with cultural wisdom. We are looking for a skilled Lead Teacher to take this roadmap and bring it to life in the classroom.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced teacher who loves the act of teaching but doesn’t want the burnout of planning from scratch. You won’t have to stress about what to teach next week; you get to focus on how to deliver it with magic and warmth.

Who We Are Looking For

• You are a Classroom Pro: You have the experience to walk into a room of 15 children and establish a calm, joyful rhythm. You know how to manage transitions, big emotions, and daily routines with grace.
• You are an Executor: You appreciate a clear plan. You find comfort in having a handbook and a schedule to follow rather than having to improvise the curriculum.
• You are Grounded: You have experience with or appreciation for Montessori or Waldorf methods (gentle discipline, natural materials) and understand how to apply them in a modern, full-day center.
• You are a Team Player: You are excited to collaborate with the Founder to ensure the daily activities match the school’s established vision.

What You Will Do

• Execute the Roadmap: Follow our provided 12-month curriculum guide. We provide the weekly themes, nature focus, and learning goals; you deliver the lesson.
• Master the Daily Flow: Own the daily rhythm—from morning circle and outdoor exploration to project time and meals. Your superpower is managing the group dynamic.
• Facilitate: Use our established Weekly Rhythm (e.g., Baking Day, Garden Day) to structure your week. Your energy goes into preparing the environment and guiding the children.
• Immersion Environment: Maintain a 100% Mandarin-speaking environment during instructional time.
• Embrace the Outdoors: You don’t need to be a botanist, but you must be excited to be outside rain or shine, getting your hands dirty alongside the children.

Requirements (Must Have)

• Lead Teacher Qualified: Must meet WA State DCYF requirements for a Lead Teacher immediately (ECE Initial Cert or higher).
• Mandarin Fluency: Native-level proficiency (Speaking, Reading, Writing).
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years leading a preschool classroom.
• Classroom Management: Proven ability to manage a group of 3-5 year olds (please be ready to discuss your strategies for transitions and conflict resolution).

Preferred Qualifications

• Montessori or Waldorf Background: You understand the “why” behind gentle discipline, low-tech toys, and nature-based learning.
• Startup Spirit: You are excited about the energy of opening a new center and setting the standard for future teachers.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive Pay: $24.00 – $35.00/hr (Depending on Experience & Education).
• Overtime Eligible: 1.5x pay for hours worked over 40.
